Copywriters and Book writers are normally required to hold a bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or a closely related field of study. A GED certificate or high school diploma, an appealing work portfolio, and relevant experience are all desirable qualifications for some organizations when hiring copywriters. Those who develop software copy, for example, may hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering. These copywriters often learn how to write by participating in extracurricular activities or undertaking individual research and study.
